Meet Alberta Boima (Age 13)

Alberta Praise Boima has lost her father to hypertension, leaving her consumed in a deep sense of dread as she contemplates who will now cover her educational expenses. Her mother, who barely manages to make ends meet through small sales, is overwhelmed by this financial burden. Alberta often helps her mother sell goods at home to ease some of the strain. Nevertheless, despite their efforts, her mother has admitted that she can no longer afford to send Alberta to school. She has tearfully declared that her daughter might have to forgo education this year. The pain of their situation seems almost unbearable, and Alberta can only hope that somehow, amidst her tears and despair, there might still be a trace of hope.
