Meet Ellen Miller (age 5)

Ellen, just five years old, faced a life already marred by hardship. Her single mother, struggling to care for her three children alone after their father vanished, had made a heart-wrenching decision to send Ellen to live with her aunt in hopes of a better life. However, even this refuge offered little relief. The aunt, burdened by her struggles, could only offer so much. Ellen’s hopes for a fresh start were dimmed by the inability to pay her school fees, causing her to miss out on completing the previous school year.
