Meet Timothy Gaye (Age 11)

Timothy Gaye, born on January 5, 2013, resides with his mother in the modest Outland Community of Paynesville. Every day after school, Timothy helps his mother sell soft drinks along the roadside, a routine that has become a vital part of their survival. Despite his youthful desire for a full and uninterrupted education, the reality of their situation keeps him from thriving in school. All the money they make from their sales is poured into their daily needs, leaving no room for school fees.

Timothy’s dreams are cast in a shadow of uncertainty, his education and future sacrificed at the altar of their immediate survival.
